Searching for Tech Bargains? Try these!
There are so many new tech deals appearing daily on the web. Finding them, however, can be a daunting task. Lucky for us there are some bargain sites dedicated to this very purpose. I would like to share with you, my selection of 10 of the best tech bargain hunting sites to use when searching for the best tech deals. Read on below to see hand-picked tech bargains, some you will know but there are more of these types of tech bargain hunting sites and daily tech deals sites.
Tech Bargains for Everyone:
Sometimes if we here on TheTechMentor.com spot a computer or laptop bargain that looks like one of the best deals on the web, I’ll just put it in some notes below.
If it is other types of electronic deals websites you are looking for, then please just skip these (when there) and read on further below to see the tech deals sites list.
Here are some Tech Deals we found that you might like
I use a Microsoft Surface Pro. It is awesome and I’ve been very happy with it. I’m [Jeff] updating this article using it! My wife has one too, and we bought them new. I’ve found a site/store that you can buy a completely refurbished Surface Pro 7 for a very low price. This is the ultimate bargain in my opinion. At the time of writing you can get a certified refurbished Microsoft Surface Pro for less than $500 which is an incredible saving compared to the new price you’ll see in stores. Here is the link to check the price and similar options.
This Microsoft Surface Book is awesome at $387 (at the time of writing). That is really worth checking out if you are looking for a top refurbished machine. Check if the current discount is still the same here (loads in a new tab so you can continue reading below).
And check out these other gift ideas:
Fathers Day gift Ideas! – If you are in need of ideas…
Amazon Prime Gaming – This could be for Father’s Day or any gift (even for yourself)!
Is the most popular site the best tech bargain site? Not always.
The best tech deals site is the one where you find what you’re looking for and save money! So it kind of depends. Once you have checked out what Amazon have to offer (by clicking above), then go and check out these other tech bargain sites that I have collected and described for you below. Feel free to add your ideas to those of others in the public comments below.
I’m sure you know that if you find this list of deals sites helpful (and if you don’t have time to review all the bargain sites below right now – it sure can take some time), then you can please bookmark this page or add it to your favorites (for when you next do have enough time). It’s worth doing because you only have to save on one bargain and it will have been worth it! Then use your bookmark or favorites to come back to TheTechMentor.com time and time again, and you will find the best tech bargains all year long.
…And besides, if you bookmark just this single page and come back each time it will save you bookmarking all the other sites. Easy and everybody wins! (yes, we will if you check out an ad or give us a referral link – and yes some of these are affiliate links to help keep this website running).
Okay, now that you’ve checked out Amazon above (or at least opened them in a new tab), here are the top ten other sites TheTechMentor.com has picked for you to check out:
Tech Bargains:
TechBargains.com is a pretty well known brand these days. They not only offer the ability to find great tech deals, but also an assurance in the products they recommend and the companies that are selling them. All of the deals listed on their site are personally recommended by their staff based on research and reader feedback. I really like how they show you when the deal expires, either with a note or a count down. But do not forget there are more than just techbargains to try…
Jellyfish.com is a search engine for buying things. They call themselves the Internet’s first buying engine. The best part, however, is that JellyFish shares their commission with you (not me, sadly).
When you purchase a product that you found through them, they will credit you back part of the commission they get from the sale. You can be making your own further discount on top of an already reduced bargain!
Brands tell stories!
Daily Tech Deals:
Amazon’s Deals of the Day are great and I’ve become a convert. Quite often the Tech Bargains website points to the deals you can find here – click my link to go straight there. Even if you haven’t shopped around much yet, you can see the amount of discount and will know a bargain when you see it. They sometimes have brilliant reduced prices (I have seen a genuine 70% off, which is a huge saving). Click here if you are ready to buy some great bargains!
Dealnews.com, just like the name, is a site for finding the latest news on deals from reputable merchants. It was created in 1999 by the same people who created Dealmac. Although the site now focuses on a wide variety of deals, it is still a great place to search for the latest tech deals.
xpBargains.com offers a wide variety of bargins in tech but specializes in deals on desktops and notebooks. They list all of the latest deals on their front page and have a huge coupon section with coupons for all of the major computer manufacturers.
Dealmac.com is a bargain hunting site by the creators of Dealnews but with a focus on Apple and Apple related products. This site is a great place to search for the latest deals on new and used macs, ipods and other Apple products as well as other things you as a mac user might need.
Ben’s Bargains is a bargain hunting site that was created by Ben Chui in 2000. New bargains are frequently listed on the front page and can be made popular by the amount of clicks, comments, bookmarks, and views.
Slickdeals.net is a user driven site where users submit deals and coupons to their forums. When the thread gets a high enough rating, the post will be promoted to the front page. This site has a huge community which makes it a great place to search for tech deals. Slickdeals is great, but don’t forget there are more websites like slickdeals.
DealsPlus is a social shopping community where users submit and vote on their favorite deals. It was created by Ben Chui of Ben’s Bargains. Think of it as Digg but for deals. When a deal gets enough votes, it appears on the front page. This site might not have as many users as some of the others but it is still my personal favorite. [Note there seems to be an issue with their site at the moment, so the link was broken and removed for now. – Ed.]
Add to your savings:
Techdeals.net is a blog focused purely on tech deals as the name suggests. New deals are frequently posted to the front page where they can be viewed and commented on.
FatWallet.com is a large forum I like very much. It is centered deal hunting website where users find and post deals in their forums. The site also offers cash back rewards when visitors purchase items through their referral links. Some online retailers don’t like this, but bargain hunters love it!
What’s the point of hunting for these daily tech deals?
The best deals sites help you stretch your dollar(s) further, of course. That’s just fun in itself – do you really need a better reason?! I can add more fuel to the proverbial fire by saying if you can save more when you buy on these sites, then you can do more with the same amount of money.
I like to think it’s like being paid more without working more, or it’s like being taxed less! Either way you want to look at it, these deals make you a winner!
It’s just so much fun!
Summary of the best Tech Bargains Sites:
So just to reel them off again in summary, you now know about the following tech deals sites. Actually there are more than 10, but some seem to not exist anymore, so it probably works out in the end. I hoped you bookmarked this page.

October 18, 2013You should definitely add http://www.itisdeal.com to this list. It is a relatively new site, but they’re worth a check before you go shopping online to make sure you’re not missing a retailer that has the item you want on sale. Itisdeal.com covers major retailers and niche ones even groupons, in categories that are largely electronics and computer gear, but also include apparel, cosmetics, jewelry, and more. The interface is very neat and easy to navigate. I like the ability to save deals into a list and tag cloud make finding hot deals a lot easier.
